Attended El Camino Fundamental High School, where he earned team MVP honors as a freshman, sophomore and senior. Won Capital Athletic League titles in the shot and discus as a senior and in the discus his junior year. Won the 2013 San Joaquin Section Finals in the shot, advancing him to the Masters Meet, where he would set a new lifetime best in the event at 55'8. Also competed in wrestling and football for the Eagles. Threw for the Golden State Throwers, where he was mentored by Coach Mike Curry.

Parents are Steven and Cathy Sahs...Has three siblings, Kevin (10), Isabel (7), and Sara (22)...Plays the Ukulele...Personal heroes are David Butler and John Godina...Enjoys the competitive nature of being on a NCAA Division-1 collegiate team.
