Opened the 2013 season with a lifetime best in the triple jump at 46'. Had four other competitions over 45' during the 2013 outdoor campaign, including a 45'10.5 leap to win the Cal Poly Dual Meet. Also won the UC Riverside Dual meet with a jump of 45'8.5. Set a new lifetime best in the long jump at the Cal Poly Dual Meet at 23'2.5w.

Pearson competed in long jump and triple jump throughout the 2012 season…Posted a season best of 6.29m in long jump and 44'4.25 in triple jump.

Pearson was Tri-County Athletic League champion in the triple jump...Second farthest jump in school history in the triple jump and second fastest in the 300m hurdles...Lettered in both track and football.

Son of Gladys Mejia...has four siblings, Jesus, Abraham, Alfonso Valdez and Alba Roland...Was on honor roll all four years of high school...Was senior class Vice President...Enjoys writing, watching movies, being active and listening to music in his free time...All six members of his family played football at the same high school and all wore the number 7...Favorite movies are "Pulp Fiction", "Fight Club"...Favorite books are "A Clockwork Orange", "Fight Club", and "Diary of a Wimpy Kid"...Favorite athletes are Adrian Peterson, Walter Payton, and Seve Prefontaine.
