in the 400m at Bryan Clay Invitational where he placed 25th. Posted a best time of
1:54.41 in the 800m at All-Cal Challenge.

Houssain focused on the sprints this season and ran a personal best time of 50.03 in the 400m dash at the UC San Diego Triton Invitational...Assisted the men's 4x400m relay team third place time of 3:19.86 at the USC Triton Invitational.

High School
Competed for Terra Linda HS in the Marin County League of the CIF-North Coast Section...Held times of 51.01 in the 400m and 2:05 in the 800m...Placed fifth at CIF in the 400m in 2009, and moved on to the Meet of Champions.

Personal
Houssain is majoring in global studies...Would like to work in the international arena, possibly for the U.N. or an NGO...Member of the Muslim Student Association, Assosiated Students, Students for Justice in Palestine, and Invisible Children...Enjoys wrestling, soccer, traveling, and discussing politics and philosophy...Says his favorite aspect of collegiate track is being surrounded by talent...
