Santa Barbara, Calif. - Men's tennis concluded their fall season with a dominating performance in the UCSB classic, claiming an astounding seven flight titles in the tournament.
The Gauchos won seven of nine matches against Westmont opponents on the final day of competition. Five UCSB players took home singles championships, including Mathieu Forget in the A flight and Taylor Chavez-Goggin in the B flight. Forget and Chavez-Goggin also teamed up to take home the A flight doubles title, defeating Bryan Lima and Carlos Cox of Westmont 9-7 on the final day of the round robin tournament.
"We truly dominated UCSD, LMU and Westmont over the course of the tournament and displayed incredible depth," said head coach Marty Davis. "Without question, this was a great end to the fall season for the UCSB men."
The Gauchos will not resume play until Jan. 28, when they take on Santa Clara at home in a dual match.
