Santa Barbara, Calif - UC Santa Barbara Men's Tennis will finish it's regular season schedule with two critical home matches this weekend. On Saturday, the Gauchos will face off against conference rival Cal Poly and on Sunday they will take on Loyola Marymount in the final home match for the four graduating seniors.
The Gauchos face a stiff test Saturday, as Cal Poly is enjoying its best season in school history and comes to town with the highest national ranking in the Big West Conference. Last season, the Mustangs ended the Gauchos' four year reign atop the Big West and snapped UCSB's string of NCAA Championship appearances by squeezing out a 4-3 win at the Conference tournament.
The match against Loyola Marymount holds special significance for the four graduating seniors. Taylor Chavez-Goggin, Evan Jurgensen, Philip Therp and Alex Konigsfeldt will all be playing in the final home match of their UCSB careers.
Both matches will be played at the Recreation Center courts beginning at 1 p.m.
