SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The 70th-ranked UC Santa Barbara men's tennis team opened a busy weekend with a 6-1 loss to No. 18 Boise State on Friday afternoon at the Recreation Center Courts. The match was the Gauchos' first home contest of the year.
Boise State swept the doubles point to open the scoring and then took five of the six singles matches. With the loss, UCSB drops to 1-2 on the season. The Broncos improve to a perfect 7-0, including an easy 6-1 win over Stanford.

"Anders was definitely the highlight today," said UCSB head coach Marty Davis. "He's played well this year and today was no different."

"This weekend will be a challenge for us," Davis said. "We will be playing on the same day as we fly in and we will going form playing outside to playing indoors, that is always tough. "
Following this weekend's matches, Santa Barbara will remain on the road for another pair of matches next weekend, including a date with Cal, another top-20 opponent.
