PALO ALTO, Calif. - Following a 4-1 win yesterday against Texas Tech, UC Santa Barbara will be taking on the University of Stanford at 3 p.m. today. The Cardinal are the hosts of this regional and they are also ranked No. 12 in the country. UCSB currently owns a national ranking of No. 51 and that figures to go up following the win against the No. 22 Red Raiders.
UCSB has never beaten Stanford in program history currently owning a record of 0-12 all-time but the Gauchos are riding a lot of momentum having won 14 of their last 16. Yesterday's win was also the first NCAA Tournament win since 1998.
