UCSB Leaves Hawai'i 0-2, UCSB 120 Hawaii 160

HONOLULU, Hawai'i - UCSB was unable to close the diving points gap created by Hawai'i on the second day of competition for the two teams, UCSB 120 Hawai'i 160. Hawai'i hosted the two day dual meet at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.
Sophomore Chris Good was able to walk away with three individual wins and freshman teammate Scott Vogelgesang with one. Good's victories came in the 100 and 200 backstroke events, 51.93 and 1:54.52 respectively, and the 400IM, 4:01.76. Last season Good was the team leader in the 200 back and 400IM. His early season times are not far off of lasts season's best times.
Freshman Scott Vogelgesang won the 200 free with a time of 1:40.76. Vogelgesang also took third in the 100 free, 46.34, one hundredth of a second behind Hawaii's Mark Higley. Scott placed third in the 500 free, 4:40.95 and was on the second place finishing 200 freestyle relay with teammates Matsumoto, Bauer, and Edwards.
The Gauchos will return home to host UC San Diego at Campus Pool on Saturday November 4, 2006 at 10am.
