2012-13: Qualified for the NCAA Championships placing 33rd overall in the 100 fly and 39th overall in the 100 freestyle…Set the school record in the 100 fly (46.65)…Finished sixth overall in the 100 freestyle with an NCAA ‘B’ cut time of 43.35 at the Pac-12 Championships…Placed seventh overall in the 100 butterfly with an NCAA ‘B’ cut time of 46.69 at the Pac-12 Championships…Set another NCAA ‘B’ cut with his eighth place, 20.00 time posted in the 50 freestyle at the Pac-12 Championships… Part of the 400 medley relay team that broke the school record (3:13.11)… Placed first in the 100 butterfly in the season opener vs. Utah on Oct. 12…Took first in the 50 freestyle in a big dual meet against rival Cal Poly on Feb. 9.

2011-12: Placed ninth in the 100-yard butterfly (47.34), 18th in the 100-yard freestyle (22.55), 18th in the 50-yard freestyle (20.15), seventh in the 200-yard medley relay (1:30.06), fourth in the 400-yard freestyle relay (2:53.48) and fourth in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:18.54) at the Pac-12 Championships…Swam season bests in each individual event at the Pac-12’s…Ranked first in school history along with Chris Peterson, Garrett Thompson, and Kevin Ferguson in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:17.87.

Attended Davis Senior High School…Was coached by Tracy Stapleton…Was a 10-time NISCA High School All-American, earning honors in five events in 2009, two events in 2010 and three events in 2011…Also competed for the Blue Devil’s water polo team…Swam club for the Davis Aquadarts under coach Stu Kahn and for the Davis Aquamonsters under coach Peter Motekaitis…Was an AP Scholar Award recipient.  

Wade Samuel Allen was born on Aug. 25, 1993 in Sacramento, Calif.…Parents are James and Wendy Allen…Has two older brothers, Jake and Trevor…Is majoring in physics and has aspirations of becoming an engineer…Enjoys skim boarding, surfing, playing the guitar, video games and hanging out with friends…Favorite movie is “Ocean’s Eleven” and his favorite book is “The Hobbit”…Enjoys music by DJ Tiesto, Deadmau5, Jack Johnson, Basshunter and Muse…His most memorable athletic achievements were winning the 50 and 100 freestyle at Sections during his senior season…Favorite aspect of college swimming is the team unity.
