Lezak Qualifies for Fourth Olympics
Former UC Santa Barbara swimmer Jason Lezak qualified for his fourth Olympic Games on Friday evening after finishing sixth in the 100-meter freestyle at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Omaha. He will swim on the U.S. 400-meter freestyle relay at the London Olympic Games.

On June 25 the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials will begin in Omaha, Nebraska, and UCSB will make its presence felt. 16 Gauchos will compete in the trials, which end on July 1, as they try to bring a little Santa Barbara sunshine to London for the 2012 Olympics.

During yet another beautiful afternoon at Campus Pool, the UC Santa Barbara men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams split a dual meet with visiting Denver on Friday. The Gaucho men cruised to a 168-132 victory while the women were narrowly beaten, 151-149.

Ann Wright Hired as UCSB Diving Coach
Ann Wright has been appointed as UC Santa Barbara’s diving coach it has been announced by head swimming coach Gregg Wilson. Wright will be critical in helping the Gauchos’ resurrect their diving program, which was brought back last season after an 11-year absence.
