UCSB Soccer Team to be Featured on Local Radio

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - UC Santa Barbara men's soccer head coach Tim Vom Steeg and three Gaucho players will be featured on local morning talk shows Tuesday and Wednesday in preparation for the team's final regular season home game on Wednesday vs. Cal Poly.

UCSB will attempt to set THE record and make history by setting the NCAA attendance record in the match at Harder Stadium. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Vom Steeg and senior Nick Perera will be on the KTYD morning show at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Listeners can tune in to 99.9 FM in the Santa Barbara area, or log on to ktyd.com and click "Listen Live."

Later Tuesday morning, Vom Steeg will be featured on the KJEE morning show at 9 a.m. Listeners can hear him on 92.9 FM in the Santa Barbara area or log on to kjee.com.

On Wednesday, senior co-captain Alfonso Motagalvan and freshman Peter McGlynn will be on the KJEE morning show, beginning at 9 a.m.

UCSB will play its final regular-season home match this Wednesday, Nov. 5 against Cal Poly. UCSB will attempt to set THE record and make history by setting the NCAA attendance record.

During Wednesday's Senior Night fans can receive free T-shirts, senior posters and/or a Gaucho Stick.

The UCSB Athletics Ticket Office is holding special extended hours this week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for faculty and staff to come by and receive their free tickets. All students are encouraged to stop by and reserve their spot. Groups of five or more people can get special tickets for just $3 per person.
