SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - UCSB Athletics is pleased to announce that beginning with the Oct. 7 match vs. Cal Poly that men's soccer games will be broadcast on commercial, non-student radio for the first time in school history. UCSB is the only school in the nation to offer local - and worldwide - fans the opportunity to listen to men's soccer on non-student radio.
The remaining men's soccer schedule - home and away- will air on AM 1490 KIST and is available via online streaming, giving fans away from Santa Barbara the ability to listen to the games.
Fans can tune in to numerous streaming games throughout the 2009-10 year and UCSB's new weekly radio show, Talk'n Gauchos, by clicking here. Talk'n Gauchos, which airs every Tuesday from 6-7 p.m. live from State & A Bar and Grill, is archived online so fans can catch the show at any time by clicking here. For those who may have missed the show, a recap is shown every Wednesday on UCSB's new YouTube page.
Steve Wendt, UCSB's longtime basketball play-by-play broadcaster, will begin calling men's soccer matches starting with the Oct. 7 match vs. Cal Poly. Wendt will broadcast all remaining men's soccer matches this season as the Gauchos make their annual run to the NCAA Tournament.

Wendt will also be the play-by-play broadcaster for men's and women's basketball, with every Gaucho game airing live on either AM 1490 or AM 990. All basketball games will also stream online through UCSBgauchos.com. And, beginning this year, over 20 UCSB baseball games will be broadcast live on the radio and will stream live online.

Similar to the successful men's soccer family plan, a new Family Plan season ticket is now available for both men's and women's basketball. Family plans, which include five season tickets (two adults and three youth season tickets), are $300 for men's basketball, $225 for women's basketball or get the combo plan (both men's and women's) for just $400.
