Sept. 7, 2009
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - UCSB Athletics is pleased to announce that single-game tickets for men's soccer are now on sale. The Gauchos host one of the nation's premier home schedules, which includes nationally televised games against Rutgers (Sept. 11) and Indiana (Oct. 2). UCSB is the only school in the country that will host two nationally televised games.
The Gauchos will also host conference rival Cal Poly on Oct. 7. Loyola Marymount, UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge and UC Davis round out the exciting 2009 home schedule at Meredith Field at Harder Stadium.
Single game tickets are priced at $7 for adults, $3 for youth (ages four to eighth grade) and $5 for seniors.
Tickets don't just give fans the opportunity to watch one of the nations most elite soccer programs in action, they also enable the first 1,000 Gaucho fans in the door to pick up some stellar giveaways. Against Rutgers, fans will receive foam fingers and on Sept. 27 against UC Irvine, fans have the chance to wear Gaucho sunglasses at night.
In an attempt to spread Gaucho pride, at the Indiana game on Oct. 2, the Athletics Department will be sponsoring a BOGO Night. The "Bring One, Get One" promotion will allow students to bring a shirt from another college and exchange it for a UCSB t-shirt.
At the Oct. 7 game against Cal Poly, Fan Fans will be given out and against Cal State Fullerton on Oct. 24, fans can pick up free beanies.
Tickets are now easier than ever to get your hands on. For the first-time, UCSB has also enabled fans to print their tickets at home. No waiting in line necessary! They can be purchased by calling (805) 893-UCSB, visiting the Ticket Office located inside the Intercollegiate Athletics building on campus or by clicking here.
If you do decide to swing by the ticket office, the Intercollegiate Athletics Ticket Office now has two parking spaces adjacent to the building and is now open on Saturdays, making it easier than ever for fans to purchase tickets. The ICA Ticket Office will be open from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturdays. The two parking spots, designated specifically for the ticket office, are already available during weekday hours, which are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
