VENTURA, Calif. - Three former UC Santa Barbara men's soccer players, and one current player, helped lead the Ventura County Fusion to the Premier Development League title on Saturday at Buena Vista High School in Ventura.

Gaucho alums Alfonso Motagalvan, Ivan Becerra and Bryan Byrne all play for the Ventura Fusion of the PDL, along with current UCSB player, Danny Barrera. The league is part of the United Soccer League and helps serve as a minor league to other professional soccer leagues.

The VC Fusion defeated the Chicago Fire, 2-1, to take the PDL title after playing nearly an hour with just 10 men. Motagalvan, a midfielder, scored the winning goal in front of a sellout crowd.
