Men's Soccer Bests #25 Cal 1-0 In Overtime

Berkeley, Calif. - The UCSB men's soccer team bounced back from a loss to Stanford Saturday with a 1-0 overtime triumph over host Cal in heavy rain Sunday. Lucas Dalgleish netted the game-winner at 103:02 when he took a pass from Sean Herrity, who fielded a Kenny Newendorp throw-in. Senior goalkeeper Stewart Sanders earned his eighth shutout of the season, making four saves in the match. The Gauchos improved to 12-7-0 on the season in the non-conference contest. Cal, ranked 25th in the Soccer America poll, dropped to 15-5-3 overall.
UCSB's last match of the regular season will be 7:00 p.m. next Saturday at Cal Poly. The Gauchos defeated the Mustangs 2-0 in both teams' season openers in September.
