Miracle Goal As Time Expires Lifts UCSB Over Rival Westmont

UCSB squeaked by cross-town rival Westmont College when junior reserve forward Lucas Dalgleish scored with no time left on the clock. Dalgleish took a pass from sophomore playmaker Steven Sosa in the box and lofted the ball over Westmont's 6-foot-6-inch goalkeeper, Adam Throop. The ball entered the goal as the final horn sounded. The goal was Dalgleish's second of the season and first since UCSB's opener vs. Cal Poly. Senior goalkeeper Stewart Sanders earned his third shutout of the season.
