Successful Spring Season Ends with Four Straight Wins

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara men's soccer team capped off its 2019 spring season with four straight wins.

The Gauchos allowed just two goals in those four games in a slate that saw them record 2-1 wins over the Ventura County Fusion of the Premier Development League (PDL) and UC San Diego, while the final two games of the spring schedule were both 2-0 victories over Cal Poly Pomona and the PDL's FC Golden State.

"The spring season is always going to go well when you have over twenty players returning, including ten starters. We were able to get a lot of work done and I thought we ended spring playing at a very high level, which typically you don't see until the fall," said UCSB Head Coach Tim vom Steeg.
