SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Talented winger Ismaila Jome was named to the College Soccer News All-Freshman Team and the Top Drawer Soccer Freshman Best XI, it was revealed over the weekend.

Jome's rookie campaign has earned the Minnesota native a litany of honors, including Big West Freshman of the Year and All-Big West First Team honors.

He was also named to the NSCAA All-Far West Region First Team, the first Big West freshman to do so since the league reinstituted men's soccer in 2001.

Being named to the Second Team in College Soccer News's All-Freshman Team, he was the only conference player to be honored.

Similarly, his place on the Second Team in Top Drawer Soccer's Freshman Best XI made him the only Big West player to be named.

The lanky winger was the only Gaucho to start in each of the team's 21 games, while his 11 points ranked third on the team. His seven assists ranked second on the team and third in the entire conference. He also chipped in a pair of goals on the year, including the game-winner against Sacramento State on Oct. 22.
