Listen Live to Gaucho Men’s Soccer this Weekend
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Free audio broadcasts of this Friday and Sunday's UC Santa Barbara men's soccer matches at the Gonzaga Nike Classic can be listened to live online by clicking here.
Gerry Fall, the Voice of the Gauchos, has traveled to Spokane, Wash. with the team to make sure UCSB fans don't miss a minute of this weekend's action.
UCSB will open the tournament today, Friday, Aug. 31 with a 1 p.m. pairing against Oregon State. On Sunday, the Gauchos will face host Gonzaga in a 2 p.m. match-up.
This season, UCSB and its multimedia partner Nelligan Sports Marketing will air 12 Gaucho men's soccer regular season matches and all postseason contests live on AM 1290, KZSB, the Santa Barbara News-Press Radio Station, as well as online at UCSBgauchos.com.
The radio broadcast schedule will begin with UCSB's Sept. 21 showdown against UCLA and will include all 10 Big West Conference matches plus the Oct. 26 home contest against Stanford. All broadcasts will begin 30 minutes prior to kick-off and will include interviews with Gaucho players and coaches as well as all the facts and figures of the match.
Talk'n Gauchos, the weekly radio show devoted to all things Gaucho, will make its 2012-13 debut on Tuesday, Sept. 11 from 6-7 pm on AM 1290. The show, hosted by Gerry Fall, will once again be broadcast live from the Beachside Bar & Café on beautiful Goleta Beach. Fans are encouraged to attend the broadcasts where they can enjoy regular Talk'n Gauchos menu specials.
Season tickets for Gaucho soccer are available for a little over $3 per game and would guarantee a ticket for the Sept. 21 game against UCLA, which is trending as a possible sellout.
