Golf Struggles To 13th-Place Finish At Pacific Invitational

Junior Scott Linklater finished tied for 17th with a 220, but the UC Santa Barbara golf team struggled to a 13th-place finish at the Pacific Invitational in Stockton, on Tuesday.
The Gauchos shot a pair of 295s in the first two rounds, entering the final round of the tournament in 12th-place, but they could not make up any ground in the third round, shooting a 313 as a team, and dropping to 13th-place.
Linklater was one-under par after two rounds, but shot a third round 77 to finish with a four-over par 220. Andrew Hoffer shot 224, tying for 33rd-place, while Craig King shot 228, tying for 48th-place. The final two Gauchos were Greg Snider, who finished 63rd with a 233, and Jeff Greenfield, who shot 239 to finish 71st.
UCSB will return to action next week when they travel to Palm Desert to compete in The Prestige, hosted jointly by Stanford, and UC Davis.
