Golf Completes Season With 8th-Place Finish At Big West Championships

EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. - Brian Six shot a 153 to finish in a tie for 29th-place at the rain-shortened Big West Men's Golf Championship at the Serrano Country Club. As a team, the Gauchos finished in eighth-place with a team score of 623. UC Irvine won the team title at 581.

Joey Ramos finished with an 11-over par 155 to tie for 32nd, Nick Telliard finished at 158 to tie for 35th, Jeff Linklater shot 159 to finish tied for 39th, and Greg Wells shot 160 to tie for 41st and round out the UCSB finishers.

The nine Big West teams were supposed to play two rounds on Monday but were limited to one round because of rain. Instead of playing two rounds on Tuesday, the league shortened the tournament to two rounds.
