Golf Finishes Fifth At Fidelity National Tournament, The Final Tune-Up Before Big West Championship

UC Santa Barbara's Brian Six shot a first-round 68 and finished with a three-round total of 216 to finish in ninth-place at the Fidelity National Title Invitational at Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande, Calif. Six helped the Gauchos to a fifth-place team finish at the tournament hosted by Cal Poly.
The host Mustangs won the tournament with a team score of 847, finishing three shots ahead of Cal State Bakersfield. UCSB shot 887.
In addition to Six, Gaucho competitors included Joey Ramos, who finished tied for 26th at 225, Jean-luc Burnier, who was tied for 30th at 226, Scott Linklater, who tied for 35th at 228, and Jeff Di Tullio, who shot a 229 and finished 38th.
The tourney was UCSB's final tune-up before the Big West Championships. The Gauchos will travel to Serrano Country Club in Sacramento for the league tournament on Monday and Tuesday, April 21 and 22.
