Glen Scher shot a 2-over par 218 as UC Santa Barbara's top finisher as the Gauchos placed 11th in the John Burns Intercollegiate at the Leilehua Golf Course in Wahiawa, Hawaii.
UCSB shot a final round 290 on Friday to finish at 879 for the tournament.
Scher shot 2-under par 70 in the final round to top teammate Tyler Weir by one shot. Weir tied for 43rd with a 3-over par 219. Andrew Gunson and Russell Boring each carded 6-over par 222 to tie for 54th. Brian Hollenbeck was the final UCSB player, shooting a 10-over par 226.
UNLV and Texas A&M tied for the team title in regulation at 28-under par 836, but the Rebels won the title on the first playoff hole. BYU and Cal tied for third at 16-under par 848. New Mexico rounded out the top five at 11-under par 853.
The individual title was won by Texas A&M's Andrea Pavan who finished at 12-under par 204, two shots ahead of UNLV's Derek Ernst who shot 10-under 206.
Santa Barbara returns to action on Monday, Mar. 1 when it travels to the Braveheart Classic, hosted by UC Riverside, in Beaumont, Calif.
