ANAHEIM, Calif. - The ampm Big West Basketball Tournament officially moves to the Honda Center Thursday and there is plenty of activity scheduled for the next three days. The Gaucho men will arrive in Anaheim Wednesday evening and will get their first look at the Honda Center as they prepare for Thursday afternoon's opening round game against Pacific at 2:30.

Thursday's activities in Anaheim begin with the Big West Scholar Athlete banquet at 9:00 where basketball's Jordan Weiner and All-American volleyball player Stacey Schmidt will be recognized for their academic achievements. The Gaucho men take on Pacific at 2:30 and then the always popular Mascot Mayhem will take place at 4:30 in front of the Honda Center entrance where Ole' will tangle with his colleagues from around the conference.
As the Big West and Honda Center continue to elevate the profile of the postseason basketball tournament, a commercial shoot featuring all Big West Cheerleading squads is set for the late evening.
On Friday, the Big West conference has arranged a goodwill visit to the Children's Hospital of Orange County. The annual Battle of the Bands competition will take place at 5:00 in front of the Honda Center prior to the men's semi-final game at 6:30 televised live nationally on ESPNU. Should the Gauchos advance; they would be playing at 6:30 against the winner of Thursday's Long Beach State-UC Irvine game.
The ampm Big West Tournament men's championship game is set for 5:00pm Saturday and will be televised live nationally on ESPN2.
