Men's Basketball Game Against Long Beach State Moved To 5:00 p.m. On Thursday, March 2

Santa Barbara, Calif. - The UC Santa Barbara Gaucho men's basketball team will host Long Beach State at the Thunderdome on Thursday, March 2 at 5:00 p.m. The game, originally slated for 7:00 p.m., was moved to accomodate Fox Sports Net, which will televise the game live.
The Gauchos and 49ers are the top two teams in the Big West Conference's Western Division. Long Beach, which is 13-1 in league and 21-4 overall, had a 15-game winning streak before being beaten at home by Utah State. The 49ers defeated UCSB in Long Beach earlier in the season.
UCSB will enter Thursday's game with a 13-12 overall record and a Big West mark of 9-5. The Gauchos have a two game winning streak and they have won seven of their last eight. On Saturday, they recorded one of the most impressive wins of the season, a 54-50 comeback victory at Boise State.
The game against Long Beach State will be the penultimate game of the season. UCSB will host Pacific in the regular season finale for both schools on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. in the Thunderdome.
