Men's Basketball's Mark Hull Selected NABC Second Team All-District

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Senior forward Mark Hull, UCSB's second-leading scorer and its leading rebounder, has been selected Second Team All-District 15 by the National Association of Basketball Coaches, it was announced today.

Hull becomes the first Gaucho player since point guard Ray Kelly was selected in 1993. A a 6-foot-7 senior from Glendale, Hull is averaging 13.4 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. He has made 57 three-point baskets, including at least one in 22 of 23 games and the last 19 in a row. In addition, Hull has played a team-high 791 minutes, 156 more than his next closest teammate.

"Mark is very deserving of this honor," said head coach Bob Williams. "He is so consistent and draws so much attention from opposing defenses that he makes all of his teammates better. He is also an outstanding defensive player."

This season, Hull has moved into second-place on UCSB's all-time scoring list and he has become the school's all-time leader in three-point baskets. He currently has 1,458 career points and 204 career three-pointers.
