SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - UC Santa Barbara's men's basketball games scheduled for Feb. 22 at Cal State Fullerton and March 3 at the Thunderdome against Cal State Northridge, have been added to the Big West Conference's television package, it was announced Wednesday.
The Gauchos' home finale on March 3 against the Matadors will be shifted from 7:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to accommodate Fox Sports Prime Ticket. The Feb. 22 game at Fullerton will remain at 7:05 p.m., but will be aired on KVMD-TV in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura Counties.
"This is a very good thing for us," said head coach Bob Williams. "We are having a good year and this is some recognition for that."
The games were picked-up as part of the league's "best available" concept that gave both television entities a choice of which games they would select over the season's final weeks.
UCSB's Feb. 10 home game against Long Beach State is also scheduled to be aired on Fox Sports Prime Ticket.
