TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Kevin Bettencourt scored 19 points and Chris Rodgers had 18 to lead Bucknell to a 67-60 win over UC Santa Barbara in the consolation game of the ASU/azcentral.com Hoops Classic on Saturday night.
Nebraska and Arizona State meet for the championship.
Rodgers made seven free throws in the final 53 seconds to keep the Bison (5-5) ahead.
Fullove had 18 points for the Gauchos (3-7), who have lost five straight for the first time since 1998-99, coach Bob Williams' first year in the program.
Boakai Lalugba had 10 points and eight rebounds for Bucknell.
UCSB had a 43-38 lead after a layup by Hull with 9:33 to play.
But Lalugba scored, Charles Lee had a putback to get the Bison within one, and Hull tripped Ben Slater three seconds later. Rodgers made two technical free throws, sending Bucknell ahead 44-43 with 8:19 remaining.
Bettencourt made two more free throws 21 seconds later, and Lalugba made a layup with 7:04 to play, completing a 10-0 surge.
Bucknell was up 9-0 before Hull made the first of his five 3-pointers 4:13 into the game. Hull had 10 points during a 22-6 run by the Gauchos that earned them a 22-15 lead with 5:29 to play.
Bucknell caught up at 24 on a 3-pointer by Bettencourt with 1:14 to play, and no more than eight points separated the teams the rest of the way.
