FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) - Branduinn Fullove's two free throws with 11.6 seconds remaining in double overtime secured a 98-95 victory for UC Santa Barbara over Cal State Fullerton Thursday night.
The Gauchos went on an 11-3 run to start the second overtime and led 96-88 with 2:15 to play.
The Titans rallied and cut the lead to 96-95 on Bobby Brown's seventh 3-pointer of the game with 58 seconds remaining.
But Cal State Fullerton (9-15, 6-10 Big West Conference) did not score again and the Gauchos (14-10, 8-7) held on and moved into third place in the conference.
Cameron Goettsche led UC Santa Barbara with 18 points.
Fullove finished with 13 points and six assists for UC Santa Barbara. Brown led all scorers with 23 points.
Pape Sow had 21 points and nine rebounds for Fullerton before fouling out with 4:07 left in the first overtime
Cal State Fullerton out-rebounded UC Santa Barbara 45-35.
The Titans dressed only nine players and had only six players available at the end of the game after three players fouled out.
