Pacific Tops Gauchos, 58-36

STOCKTON, Calif. (AP)-- Chad Troyer scored 14 to lead Pacific to a 58-36 victory over UC Santa Barbara on Saturday night.
Troyer made three of his four 3-pointers in the second half, and the Tigers made 63 percent of their 3-pointers and shot 58 percent from the field after halftime.
Pacific limited Santa Barbara to 22 percent shooting in the second half and 29 percent for the game while allowing its fewest points in a game this season.
Joe Ford scored a career-high 13 points for Pacific (11-7, 4-3 Big West Conference) and Bryan LeDuc had 7 points and a career-high 12 rebounds in his first start of the season.
James Nunnally scored 9 points to lead Santa Barbara (8-11, 2-5).
Pacific took control after halftime and dominated in every phase of the game. The Tigers had a 38-29 rebounding advantage, outscored Santa Barbara 26-12 in the paint and had a 36-11 edge in points off the bench.
Ford scored the games first six points and Pacific's first nine points as the Tigers twice built an early six-point lead. But Pacific went cold and Santa Barbara rallied back to take its biggest lead, at 16-13 late in the first half.
Pacific made just 25 percent of its shots from the field during the half, but the Tigers finished on a 10-4 run to take a 23-20 lead at the break.
Pacific began the second half with a 12-2 run and never saw its lead fall below double digits the rest of the way.
