UC Santa Barbara Falls To UC Irvine, 80-56

IRVINE, Calif. (AP) - Jerry Green scored 23 points and had seven assists to help UC Irvine defeat UC Santa Barbara 80-56 in a Big West Conference game on Saturday night.
Green, who is averaging 23.7 points in the last six games, is now UC Irvine's 14th all-time leading scorer with 998 points.
Adam Parada finished with 16 points and 15 rebounds for UC Irvine (11-2, 3-0), which has won seven consecutive games for the first time since 1982.
Mark Hull led UC Santa Barbara (5-8, 2-1) with 15 points.
The Anteaters shot 53 percent from the field and led 39-34 at halftime before gradually pulling away in the second half.
UC Irvine outrebounded the Gauchos 41-24.
