Nedim Pajevic, a transfer from Weber State, has a chance to start at the five spot for UCSB...Pajevic is a big, powerful, post player who will play a significant role for the Gauchos in his senior season...An exceptionally good passser and a solid offensive player as well, he should complement Chris Devine and Ivan Elliott, the team's other top froncourt players.
Pajevic redshirted the 2006-07 season after transferring from Weber State.
Pajevic played one year at Weber State under Joe Cravens...In 2005-06, his only season with the Wildcats, he started 23 of 27 games, averaging 6.7 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game...He also led WSU in field goal percentage at 54.1% and he made 74.5% of his free throw attempts...Pajevic scored a season-high 17 points in a Wildcat win over Idaho State...During WSU's season-long four-game winning streak, which began with the win over Idaho State, he scored in double-figures each time...Tallied 10 or more points six times in WSU's final nine games, averaging 10.2 points and shooting 60.9% over that span...Had 15 points against Montana and 14 against Montana State...Also had his personal best of seven rebounds against Idaho State...Pajevic had five or more rebounds six times...Blocked nine shots on the season...Had a high of five assists against Utah Valley State and had three or more seven times.
