Highlights for the night include:

  • The evening's festivities will begin with a student rally at Giovanni's Pizza in Isla Vista where free slices and raffle items will be given away before the Locos march on the Thunderdome to support Big Al Williams, Taran Brown and the rest of the Gauchos as they fight for first place in the Big West.
  • The first 1000 UCSB students at the game will also receive a unique free giveaway.
  • Students will also receive the commemorative t-shirt honoring this year's graduating seniors: Shawn Moore and Kyle Boswell.
  • All fans in attendance will be entered in a drawing for a 51" Flat Screen Plasma TV.
  • All area youth basketball players from the YMCA, Page Youth Center and the Boys & Girls Clubs are admitted free by wearing their respective team jersey.
  • Gaucho Basketball will also be honoring the memory of longtime supporter Judy Contreras with her brother-in-law, Benny Contreras singing the National Anthem and longtime friend Brian Escalera speaking.
  • UCSB spring sports teams will be introduced and honored at halftime as well.
