SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - UC Santa Barbara senior guard Kyle Boswell is a 3.81 student with a major in mechanical engineering. He was named Big West Sixth Man of the Year and honorable mention all-conference in 2013. Clearly, he has figured out a way to balance academics and athletics.
On Tuesday morning Boswell talked with Paul Rivas of UCSB's Campus Learning Assistance Services (CLAS) about his academic and athletics pursuits. The interview was aired on KCSB 91.9 FM in Santa Barbara and it was part of CLAS's "Class with CLAS" series of interviews. The program is the half-hour school-centric cousin of "Real Gauchos," which also airs on KCSB 91.9 FM. To listen to the interview, click here.
Boswell and the Gauchos will open the 2013-14 season on Sunday, Nov. 3 when it hosts Cal State East Bay in a 2:00 p.m. exhibition game at the Thunderdome. UCSB's home schedule this year includes Cal, Utah State, South Dakota State and all the regular Big West rivals.
Season tickets are available from the Ticket Office in the Intercollegiate Athletics Building on campus, by calling 805-893-UCSB (8272) or online by clicking here.
