SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -
The UC Santa Barbara baseball team will be holding its annual charity golf tournament, continuing the tribute to its original benefactor, Caesar Uyesaka, whose name graces UCSB's campus stadium.
The 17th annual event will take place on Thursday, October 9 at the Montecito Country Club. The day will feature a raffle/auction, hors d'oeuvres, dinner and a chance to win a car with a hole-in-one. There are also prizes for the best three foursomes, closest to the pin and longest drive.
Uyesaka spearheaded the Campus Stadium project and in tribute for all the years of community and college contributions, UCSB named the stadium in his honor.
The registration deadline is Oct. 1, and interested parties are encouraged to print out the attached file, fill it out and turn it in. Donations are also accepted for those who are unable to play. Any questions, please contact Hazel Ando at (805) 893-8320.
