UCSB To Hold High School Prospect Camp
Aug. 23, 2004
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The UC Santa Barbara baseball team will hold its first annual High School Prospect Camp at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium on Nov. 13 and 14, 2004. This camp is designed for the high school player who is looking to play at the next level. Campers - who must graduate from high school in 2005, 2006 or 2007 - will also receive a Player Evaluation from the Gaucho coaching staff. Players will be assigned to a "camp team" for the duration of the camp. The routine for these days will include team stretching and infield and outfield drills before games. The Saturday session will consist of a timed 60-yard dash, batting practice, fielding evaluations and pitching and throwing long toss program and games. This is a great camp to showcase your talents while competing in a challenging and competitive environment. The Gaucho coaching staff, led by 12th-yead head coach Bob Brontsema, will run the entire camp. Interested campers can download the registration form at the top of this page, or contact assistant coach Tom Myers at (805) 893-2021 or email@example.com.
