Outfielder Chris Fox hit .471 and upped his hit streak to 22 games over four contests last week. Fox scored seven runs, drove in three, and stole a base as UCSB went 2-2 in games at USC and UC Davis.
In a 7-5 loss at USC, Fox went 4-for-5 with two runs and an RBI. The four hits was a career-high. In the opener at Davis, a 3-2 win, he doubled and scored. The junior then went 1-for-3 with two runs and an RBI in an 11-8 victory against the Aggies. He walked twice and stole a base in the game as well. In the final game of the series, an 8-6 loss, Fox had two hits, two runs, and an RBI.
Overall, Fox smacked eight hits in 17 at-bats and owns the longest current hit streak of any Gaucho. During the streak, he has elevated his batting average from .284 to .333.
