2005 Santa Barbara Spring Baseball Camp

April 4, 2005

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Spring Break Baseball Camp has a long standing tradition in the Santa Ynez Valley as being fun and instructive. Each camp draws upwards to 75 campers ages 6-12. For the past 20 years, baseball coach and camp director John Kirkgard has been committed to the youth of our community. Believing kids should learn all the fundamentals of baseball as well as life and have fun in the process.

Athletes will be organized in age groups and learn the skills that are specific to their level of play. The camp will be uniquely balanced between instruction, drills and games. In addition to the Gaucho coaching staff, players from the UCSB squad will work directly with campers. Interaction with the camp staff and the young athletes is a priority. Campers will be exposed not only to high level instruction but to the fine role models the Gauchos represent.
