UC Santa Barbara's baseball team begins its season in a month and there's no better way to catch every one of the Gauchos' home games than to purchase season tickets. And, purchase now to receive a complimentary hat from the Gaucho Shop.
UCSB returns several standouts from last year's squad including left-handed pitcher and 2008 All-American Mario Hollands and 2007 All-American, right-hander Mike Ford. Infielder Matt Valaika, who led the 2009 club in batting average and slugging percentage, comes back for his senior season, as does All-Big West honoree, catcher Marty Mullins.
The Gauchos play 28 games at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium, one of the best settings in collegiate baseball, with home games against Cal State Fullerton, UCLA, USC, Pepperdine and UC Riverside.
Purchase season tickets to receive more than half-off single-game prices and get some of the best seats in the house! Season tickets for adults are $100, seniors 55 and over are $75 and youth tickets (eighth grade and younger) are just $50.
A season ticket gives you a seat in the Blue Zone, on the upper level behind home plate (Caesar Uyesaka Stadium's seat map), but Gaucho Fund members that purchase season seats get to sit on the field level in the Gold Zone.
Donate $300 to become part of the Gaucho Fund and get the best seats at the ballpark. Current Gaucho Fund members who have already donated are guaranteed these seats when they purchase season tickets under the One Donation is Gold system. Gaucho Fund members also receive complimentary parking on game days! To join the Gaucho Fund call (805) 893-UCSB or click the Gaucho Fund links.
And, faculty and staff who already enjoy Faculty Free Fridays (all Friday home games are free with faculty/staff ID) can receive 50% off season tickets. Just call (805) 893-UCSB or stop by the Athletics Ticket Office located in the Intercollegiate Athletics building on campus.
The baseball team is hosting an exclusive engagement with Hall of Fame manager Tommy Lasorda on Friday, Feb. 5 at the Cabrillo Arts Pavilion. Space is limited, so sign up today to be part of an extraordinary event with a living legend. Click here for more information.
About the Gaucho Fund (G-Fund for short): The program was launched as part of the Dare to Be Great strategic plan and is UCSB Athletics' annual giving program to provide vital funding support for scholarships, academic success and leadership development for Gaucho student-athletes. The Gaucho Fund is the anchor to the Dare to Be Great campaign. For more information on Dare to Be Great, please click here.
New this year, donations to The Gaucho Fund - regardless of the sport it supports - will be part of the "One Donation is Gold" system. This allows donors to purchase priority/premium seating and parking at UCSB games across several sports in addition to other benefits.
