Los Angeles - The Gauchos traveled to Los Angeles to take on the UCLA Bruins, and came home with a wake-up call. The Bruins defeated the Gauchos 17-4 to increase their record to 4-0 while the Gauchos dropped to 4-3.
The Gauchos had the lead after two full innings 3-2 when Tyler Von Schell singled, Jeff Bannon walked and Donovan Warrecker singled to load the bases. Jon Stephens singled to center to bring in Von Schell and Bannon and tie the score at two apiece. Ryan Spilborghs also singled to center to bring in Warrecker and take the lead 3-2.
