Had one of the most impressive seasons ever as a Gaucho breaking several team records with his consistent hitting...First team all Big West selection as an outfielder and second team American Baseball Coaches Association West Regional team selection...Did his best Joe Dimmagio impression with a 35 game hitting streak shattering the old UCSB record of 22 games set by Jeff Antoon in 1991...Also set school record with 12 sacrifice bunts...Batted .375 with 54 runs, 40 RBI and 19 stolen bases...In 18 Big West games, he batted a team-leading .448 and during his 35 game hitting streak went 56-for-138, .406...Also had six assists as an outfielder...Had 25 multi-hit games...Scored two or more runs 12 times and a season-high three on four occasions...In five games against Long Beach, he recorded 13 hits in 26 at bats, an outstanding .565...Improved his batting average .125 points from his freshman season...Played summer ball for the Madison Mallards in the Northern Woods League garnering team MVP and First Team all NWL honors.
Started in 13 of 18 games for the Gauchos...Batted .250 with 11 hits and ten runs...Went 2-for-3 with three runs against Cal State Northridge...Season was cut short due an broken bone in his right wrist in March.
