All-Big West Honorable Mention
In his junior season, Jesse was an All-Big West Honorable Mention
selection after leading the Gauchos with an 8-3 record ... His
eight victories were tied for seventh in the Big West ... Appeared
in 18 games while starting 14 ... In 10 of his 14 starts Meaux went
at least seven innings ... Out of the bullpen early in the year, he
compiled three saves until he was moved to the starting rotation
where he threw two complete games ... His 98 innings pitched were
tied for first on the team and seventh in the Big West ... Posted a
4.41 ERA ... Walked just 18 batters, which was ninth-fewest in the
Big West ... Went 4-2 with a 4.21 ERa in 10 conference appearances,
eight of those starts ... 21 of his 39 strikeouts came in league
play ... Was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 44th round
of the Major League Baseball Draft ... On April 11 at Cal Poly he
threw a complete game only giving up three runs while striking out
three and walking none ... Again on the road, this time on May 16
at No. 27 UC Irvine, he threw a complete game only allowing one
run, throwing just 84 pitches ... In that game he had 13 groundball
outs and induced the Anteaters into hitting into four double plays
... After that performance, he was named as a College Baseball 360
Primetime Performer ... Got the last out on April 16 vs. No. 22 Cal
State Fullerton in a 5-2 Gaucho victory that briefly put the team
in first place in the Big West ... He had a three-game streak of
allowing no earned runs (March 2-14) which spanned 15.2 innings ...
Set a career-high in strike outs with seven on February 23 against
Westmont.
2010 Summer
Jesse played for both the Yarmouth Dennis Red Sox and the Santa
Barbara Foresters ... As a Forester he went 5-0 with a 0.92 ERA in
eight appearances, seven being starts ... In 39 innings he struck
out 29 while only allowing four earned runs ... Was an
All-Tournament pick in the National Baseball Congress World Series
with the Foresters.
2009
As a sophomore, Meaux made 18 appearances, including seven
starts...Seven starts ranked fourth on the team...31 strikeouts
tied for fourth on team while his 18 appearances were
third-most...In his seven starts, ERA was nearly a run lower at
5.87...In first two wins - Mar. 7 vs. Loyola Marymount and Mar. 14
at Saint Mary's - he went five innings each time, allowing six
combined runs...Five innings count as career-best...Struck out six
batters on two occasions, doing so in Feb. 23 start vs. Westmont
and again in Mar. 31 start vs. No. 21 San Diego State...Six
strikeouts is career-high...Third win of the year came on Apr. 21
at Cal State Bakersfield...Posted consecutive outings without
allowing an earned run on Apr. 26 vs. Cal Poly and Apr. 28 vs. Cal
State Bakersfield.
2008
Pitched in eight games, including one start...Went 1-0 with a 5.74
ERA in 15.2 innings...Struck out five batters...Lone start came on
Mar. 4 vs. Cal Poly...Lasted 3.1 innings, allowing five runs on 11
hits...Didn't allow an earned run in four straight appearances from
Mar. 11 through Apr. 15, a span of 9.1 innings...Had best two games
against Westmont, pitching a total of six innings while allowing
one hit and tallying three strikeouts...Only walked one batter and
that came in his first appearance of the season vs. Marist.

Played at Glendale High School for Jay Chadwick and Chris
Jones...Was the starting pitcher for the Nitros with a 2.14 ERA and
52 strikeouts against 14 walks...Batted .451 in addition to being
the Nitros ace...Voted three time All-Pacific League...A two time
