In his Freshman season with the Gauchos Steven appeared
in 18 games starting 1 versus Cal State Northridge...showed some
savvy with clutch pinch hit RBI singles against Oregon State on
February 18 and vs Long Beach State on April 15...finished the
season with 3 RBI and a .190 Batting Average.

A four-year letter winner for head coach Jeff Dufele at San Marcos
HS in San Diego ... He played first and third base for the Knights
... In his freshman year he batted .280 with one home run, 12 RBI,
and an OBP of .400 ... In his sophomore year he was Second Team All
League, batting .330 with two home runs, 20 RBI, and an OBP of .500
... Junior year he was First Team All League batting .390 with
