Gauchos Travel to Hawai’i for Penultimate Regular Season Game Wednesday
UC Santa Barbara travels to Hawai'i for its final road game of the 2014-15 season. When they return from the Islands, the Gauchos will have traveled more than 26,000 miles this season, a school record. The year's road odyssey began in Lawrence, Kansas during a record-breaking November freeze and, thankfully, will end in Hawai'i. Talk about mismatched bookends.

FRESNO, Calif. – On the second day of the Louisville Slugger Bash, UC Santa Barbara lost to Rutgers 12-1 and Oregon State 14-5. It was the third time that the Scarlet Knights met with the Gauchos, while the Beavers played them for the second time in the tournament.

Michael Bryson scored 20 points and John Green added 15, including straight early in the second half to break a 36-36 tie, leading UC Santa Barbara to a 74-60 Big West win over first-place UC Davis on Thursday night. The win snapped the Aggies seven-game winning streak.

Gauchos Travel to Fresno State for Louisville Slugger Bash
Last week, UCSB went 1-4 at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, a tournament that draws some of the best softball programs in the nation. Following a 16-4 loss to BYU to start the weekend, the Gauchos were edged out by Utah 2-0. In going winless against nationally ranked Texas A&M and UNLV, UCSB ended the tournament on a high note with a 6-3 win over Loyola Marymount. Alex Pingree came in midway through the game when the Gauchos were losing 3-1 and shutout the Lions offense for the rest of the game (3.2 innings) and struck out two batters. At the plate, MeShalon Moore and Shelby Wisdom each had two hits including one homer each.

No. 16 UCSB Battles Its Way to 6-4 Win Over Pepperdine in First Road Game of Season
Redshirt sophomore centerfielder Andrew Calica had a career-high five hits in five trips to the plate and the sixteenth-ranked UC Santa Barbara baseball team capitalized on four errors by Pepperdine while recording a season-best 14 hits for the second consecutive game to claim a 6-4 win on Tuesday afternoon at Eddy D. Field Stadium in the Gauchos' first road contest of the year.
