Jemerigbe Leads Game with 14 Points, UCSB Falls 60-36 to Hawaii
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Onome Jemerigbe’s game-high 14 points were not enough for UCSB to defeat the conference’s top team in Hawaii on Thursday night. The Rainbow Wahine completed their season sweep of the Gauchos with a 60-36 decision in the Thunderdome.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – With the score all tied up at 3-3, UCSB’s match against Florida Gulf Coast (6-5) came down to the No. 3 court where junior Nathan Eshmade defeated FGCU’s Ricky Ventura in an exciting 7-6, 6-4 match to help the Gauchos remain perfect at home.

Vincent, Bryson Lead Offensive Assault as Gauchos Win Fourth Straight, 98-90 at Hawaii
Freshman Gabe Vincent scored a career-high 25 points and Michael Bryson tossed in 22, becoming the 27th player in school history to surpass 1,000 points, as UC Santa Barbara held on to win its final road game of the season, 98-90 at Hawaii on Wednesday night.

UCSB suffers loss against Long Beach State 49ers
The No. 8 ranked UC Santa Barbara Gauchos (11-7, 7-7) ultimately fell to the No. 10 Long Beach State 49ers (9-8, 6-8) in what proved to be quite an intense match in Rob Gym. Senior opposite Kevin Donohue led his team with a striking 18 kills and 12 digs, with Junior Jacob Delson following close behind with 10 kills and 11 digs, both players showing their versatility on offense and defense. For the 49ers, Taylor Gregory had an impressive 14 block assists and a solo stuff to boot, while Curt Stallings picked up 11 block assists himself. Not to be forgotten was 49er Bryce Yould, who yielded a .667 clip with 8 kills.

UCSB Travels to UNLV for Rebel Classic
Last week, UCSB went 1-4 at the Louisville Slugger Bash at Fresno State. The Gauchos fell in five innings in three of the games, but were able to salvage one win through the weekend with its 5-2 victory of St. Mary’s (Calif.). The teams dueled into extra innings tied at 2-2, and UCSB put the game away with three runs in the top of the eighth. Alex Pingree also came through with a remarkable complete game effort in allowing just one earned run off five hits.

UCSB vs. Oregon Match Rained Out; Gauchos Continue Homestand Thursday
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Due to heavy rain yesterday, the match scheduled between UCSB and No. 56 Oregon was cancelled and will not be rescheduled. The Gauchos will continue their homestand with matches against Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday and Gonzaga on Sunday.

Zach Smith Has Another Solid Performance, Gauchos Finish 10th at Del Walker Classic
Freshman Zach Smith had another solid finish as he completed play at the 19th Del Walker Intercollegiate Golf Classic with a 5-over par 215, tying for 22nd-place in the tournament played at the Virginia Country Club in Long Beach, Calif. UCSB finished 10th as a team with a score of 874.

Gauchos Hand USC First Loss of Season with Kelly Walk-Off Smash
With the bases loaded and two outs in the ninth inning of a tie ballgame, UC Santa Barbara junior Dalton Kelly lined a walk-off, pinch-hit single over the head of USC right fielder AJ Ramirez, giving the Gauchos a 3-2 win and handing the previously undefeated Trojans their first loss of the season.

UCSB Hosts Hawai’i, Travels to Cal Poly for Regular Season Finale
Last week, UCSB picked up its second win in three games with a 57-52 victory at UC Davis. The Gauchos’ defense limited the potent Aggie offense to just 35 percent shooting and also picked up 21 turnovers. Leading the team in scoring was Jasmine Ware with 14 points, while Kristine Brance was behind her with 10. The win evened the season series with Davis, as the Aggies took a 60-54 overtime win in the Thunderdome last month. Before Saturday’s win, UCSB opened the week with a 58-46 loss at UC Irvine. Ware was the only Gaucho to score in double-figures with 12 points in going 6-9 from the floor. As a team, UCSB struggled offensively and shot just 30 percent, while the Anteaters’ offense ran smoothly with its 44 percent shooting night.

Gauchos Travel to Hawai’i for Penultimate Regular Season Game Wednesday
UC Santa Barbara travels to Hawai'i for its final road game of the 2014-15 season. When they return from the Islands, the Gauchos will have traveled more than 26,000 miles this season, a school record. The year's road odyssey began in Lawrence, Kansas during a record-breaking November freeze and, thankfully, will end in Hawai'i. Talk about mismatched bookends.

UCSB Falls in Rematches with Rutgers, Oregon State
FRESNO, Calif. – On the second day of the Louisville Slugger Bash, UC Santa Barbara lost to Rutgers 12-1 and Oregon State 14-5. It was the third time that the Scarlet Knights met with the Gauchos, while the Beavers played them for the second time in the tournament.
