LONG BEACH, Calif. – In a physical match up in the Walter Pyramid, UCSB (9-16, 6-5) put together a fourth quarter comeback effort, but fell short at Long Beach State (18-6, 7-3) in the 60-52 final score.

The No. 48 UCSB Men’s Tennis team picked up its third straight victory today defeating Grand Canyon University 5-2. The Gauchos improve to a 4-3 record on the year having played all seven matches on the road.

UCSB's Hot Offense Not Enough in First Day of Arizona Invitational, Drops First Two Games
TUCSON, Ariz. – Despite scoring a combined 25 runs in two games, UCSB opened its season a pair of tight loses on Friday at the Arizona Hillenbrand Invitational. First the Gauchos dropped a narrow 10-9 decision to Purdue and later came up short in a 17-16 extra inning battle with Nebraska-Omaha.

Gauchos Continue Season at Triton Invitational
After a week off, the Gauchos will be back in action at UC San Diego’s Triton Invitational. UCSB will open the tournament with No. 20 Marist at 12 p.m. on Saturday, while the rest of their match ups will be determined by the outcomes of the other games. The team will be playing in four games this weekend, two each day.
