- In 1988, he led UCSB to two wins over UNLV. The Gauchos' win in
Las Vegas ended the Runnin' Rebels' home winning streak at 28
games.
- The only player in school history to record a triple-double,
doing so five times
- In a 96-78 win over 5th-ranked North Carolina State in 1987, he
had 22 points, 20 rebounds, 10 assists, and three steals
- Won a World Championship gold medal with Team USA in 1986
- A first round draft pick of the Boston Celtics
- As a member of the Miami Heat, he made a then-NBA record 10
three-pointers in a game
- His final four seasons as an active NBA player were spent with
the Los Angeles Lakers, with whom he won three NBA
