SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The next "Gaucho Huddle," which will feature players and coaches from the UCSB women's and men's basketball teams, has been scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Cabrillo Arts Pavilion in Santa Barbara.
Lindsay Gottlieb, entering her second year as the Gaucho women's coach, will lead her team in the quest for another Big West crown. UCSB will be taking aim at its third straight NCAA Tournament bid and its 15th consecutive postseason bid overall.
The women's team actually opens the 2009-10 season the same night as the Gaucho Huddle when it plays host to Westmont College in a 7:00 p.m. exhibition game at the Thunderdome. They open the regular season on Friday, Nov. 13 when they play Fresno State in a 7:00 p.m. game at home.
Bob Williams will enter his 12th season at the helm of the UCSB men's team. His 2008-09 team finished the season by winning eight of 10 games and hopes to keep that momentum going in 2009-10. In most preseason publications and polls, the Gauchos are one of the two teams picked to win the league crown.
Santa Barbara opens the season on Saturday, Nov. 7 when it welcomes Sonoma State to the Thunderdome for a 7:00 p.m. exhibition game. The Gauchos open the regular season one week later when they host Cal State Los Angeles on Nov. 14.
Anyone wishing to attend the Gaucho Huddle featuring basketball, the cost is $10 and will include lunch. Please RSVP to Christina Baglas at Christina.Baglas@athletics.ucsb.edu or by calling 805-893-5372. Aside from lunch and the chance to get the inside scoop on both the women's and men's programs, fans will have the opportunity to win tickets to games and free gear from the Gaucho Shop.
Men's and women's basketball season tickets are now available, giving fans an opportunity to catch the Gauchos all season long.

Similar to the successful men's soccer family plan, a new Family Plan season ticket is now available for both men's and women's basketball.
