The Gaucho baseball team, which in 2009 has been ranked as high as No. 20 in the nation, has an outstanding schedule the rest of the way. They will play three-game series against UC Irvine, Cal Poly, Long Beach State, Pacific, and San Jose State, as well as a pair of games against non-conference foe Cal State Bakersfield and one against traditional power Pepperdine. Irvine, Cal Poly, and Pepperdine are all currently ranked nationally, Long Beach is a traditional power, while Pacific is currently unbeaten in Big West play and San Jose is receiving votes in the national polls.
The UCSB softball team, which has advanced to the NCAA Tournament three times in the last five seasons and is expected to contend for a spot again in 2009, will host a trio of top Big West opponents in three-game series. The Gauchos' remaining home schedule includes Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, and UC Davis.
All UCSB home baseball games are played at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium while softball games are held at Campus Diamond.
UCSB also offers a fantastic Group ticket package with individual prices starting as low as $1 for groups of ten or more. "Cinco Packs" or Group tickets can be purchased at the Ticket Office in the Intercollegiate Athletics Building on campus, by calling 805-893-UCSB, or online at UCSBgauchos.com.
